So, a few years ago I decided to go travelling. This was following a break-up from a long-term relationship (seven years) and I just had to spread my wings and be free.
As I had never considered travelling before, I knew I had to be careful when choosing my destination; however, I also knew that I wanted to go big!
I chose America; and I chose to do (nearly) all of it!
48 states to be exact!
48 states in three months. This trip sounded epic… and, indeed, it was!
I started in Miami and I mainly camped my way across North America – the only states I have not visited now are Alaska and Hawaii; so, naturally, these are now on my ‘To Do’ list as it would be far too frustrating to not ‘complete’ America!
I’m currently sharing many pics of my travels on my Instagram as, even though I didn’t realise at the time, I took so many beautiful pictures of absolutely stunning places, and I just want to share these with the world.
As you can imagine, I’m also eager to explore the rest of the world and continue to share pictures and tips on places to visit.
I will share more information about my trip on another blog; I want to dedicate it to the company I travelled with as it certainly deserves its own post.
As a beginner, and having a sudden rush of independence following the shackles of that relationship, I knew that I needed to travel with a company, rather than “go it alone”; that company was Trek America – they provided the transport, the itinerary and the tents.
It was a truly unforgettable experience and it’s bred a burning desire to visit more places around our globe!
xoxo
