Movie Review: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

I’d seen this movie advertised on Netflix and thought it looked a bit rubbish.  I don’t know why, it just did.

A few days ago, I woke up early (seriously, my hay fever is off the scale at the mo!) and couldn’t seem to find anything that seemed like an easy watch whilst I kind of dozed on the sofa.  I saw To All the Boys pop up and thought I’d put it on and see…

Well, I’m so glad I did!  It was actually a delightful little movie.  Not much really happened and it was definitely just a bit of fluff for overly-romantic people (particularly teenagers and I’m certainly not in that category anymore!) but the characters were just…what adjective can I use here that best describes them? … adorable!

Seriously, all of them were just lovely.  From Lara Jean (Lana Condor) to Peter (Noah Centineo) and to Lara’s Dad (John Corbett).  But the real show stealer came in the form of Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty (Anna Cathcart).  She was just absolutely brilliant as she was subtly sarcastic and wise beyond her years.

So, this film went from one that I really wasn’t bothered about to one that I can’t stop thinking about.  So much so that I then watched the sequel, To All the Boys, P.S I Still Love You and that was equally lovely.

Loula Rating: ???? (worth a watch if you want something sweet, nice and fluffy that will make your heart sing for a little while!)

Loulabelle xoxo
