I’ve never really taken much notice of my eyebrows. I know that they’re light and wispier than I’d like but the most I’ve don to darken them is use an eyebrow pencil. When I was 15, I was also in the era of the surprised clown look and have fond memories of my peers over-plucking their eyebrows. I didn’t… but I think I did shave half of them off once! God, I was such an awkward teen.
Nowadays, eyebrows seem to be the most important part of any make-up routine and I’ve even seen girls just do their eyebrows and not even both with anything else.
So, I’ve decided to join the girls of 2020 and strengthen my eyebrow game.
My first port of call has been Maybelline’s Tattoo Brow in Dark Brown.
Now, you have to paint this on so make sure you have a steady hand. However, the beauty of it is that you can make your brows as thin or as thick as you like, and you can make an arch to frame those beautiful peepers of yours.
Warning: Once you’ve done both eyebrows, you will look like a long lost relative of Bert and Ernie.
I let the liquid set for about 20 minutes and then I used my nails to pick at the corner to peel it off. I did notice on my one ‘brow that the film had curled at the corner so it was easy to peel off without a tool. It doesn’t even tug at your natural eyebrows so that’s a bonus! I was worried that it would be similar to the black pore masks that pull out your blackheads, as well as a layer of your face.
Voila! You are then left with perfect brows tattooed on your face. Make sure you choose your colour carefully when purchasing though – you don’t want them too dark or too light. I went for the ‘Dark Brown’ shade.
I have to say, I’ve never had such perfect eyebrows before and these are expected to stay tattooed on my face for about three days.
