OK, so this is a bit of a spooky post and I feel like I’m looking over my shoulder just writing it. Is my baby seeing ghosts?

There seems to be a general consensus that children are more in-tune with the spiritual plane than adults. This is all fine and dandy till you hear your twelve-week old baby laughing in their cot… and they’re alone! So, I’m now wondering if “is my baby seeing ghosts”?

Now, I myself feel as if I’ve had a few paranormal experiences in the past. Odd things happening here and there: a feeling, objects moving, distant bangs etc. I’ve quite enjoyed sharing these tales with people in years gone by.

However, there is also a part of me that tries to explain these experiences with science.

But there’s nothing quite as creepy as feeling that your newborn is being entertained by Casper.

In the past few weeks, Arthur has started to smile and laugh. It’s quickly become mine and Lee’s favourite sound, hearing him giggle.

Needless to say, it’s not my favourite sound when the lights are off and it’s time for bed.

Last week, whilst holding Arthur, he looked straight past me and started chuckling as if someone was making him laugh. It was very odd and I was in the house on my own. It also seemed to go on for about a good ten minutes.

Was my baby seeing ghosts? It definitely seemed unusual compared to him generally tending to examine my face.

I should note that I didn’t feel uneasy at any point. I actually felt quite calm and comfortable so, if it is a ghostly presence, I’m guessing it’s a relative. Well, at least I’m hoping it is!

What do you think? Is it just Arthur entertaining himself and testing out his new laugh? Or do you think he has a spirit guide to entertain him? Is my baby seeing ghosts?

Have you experienced anything like this with your little ones? Feel free to share your ideas and experiences in the comments below.

In the meantime, I’m going to continue turning the lights on when I go upstairs and utilising the GroEgg2 night light.

Loulabella xoxo
